It’s Just Me is a poetic narrative of a young woman’s emotional journey through the turbulence created by her parents’ divorce that had occurred when she was a young child.

Written from the perspective of a 24-year-old woman, the youngest of three siblings, it explores those issues that had left her family broken.  As
she struggles with her family’s past and present, she grapples with her internal battles to take control of her own future.

Sarah Shaw is a 2013 honors graduate from The College of Saint Rose as the Outstanding Senior in English.  Her poetry has been published for several years in both the Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans and A Celebration of New York’s Young Poets.
